KETTLE MORAINE PLAYHOUSE
A school project that involved redesigning the identity of my local community theater.
ROLE: CONCEPT DESIGNER, ARTIST, DESIGNER
I grew up doing theatre, so when an assignment for class required me to update the branding of a preexisting company, the Kettle Moraine Playhouse was an easy choice.
KMP is a 60-something seat theatre built out of an old church. The interior is painted bright red. I felt like too much of that same red was too obvious a choice for the updated look, so I opted for a limey green instead.
The split triangle logo calls to mind the tenants of the playhouse, being "entertain, inspire, and transport." The triangular shape is pulled from the steeple of the building.
I feel the new branding is a great fit for such an organization. It's the perfect mix of playful and professional, the very niche the playhouse falls into.
